Our signature events adds value to our community and offers “something for everyone.” Events begin January before the national holiday remembering
the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and extend throughout December.
The art of storytelling, meaning and making of cultural identities makes for rich legacy of heritage and authentic experiences.
Through educational seminars, film, fashion, live entertainment, commerce, community, arts, crafts, and social cultural events, it’s our goal to
make Detroit one of the leading destination cities in the state of Michigan.
Detroit’s Trinity International Film Festival (DTIFF) is a worldwide event that showcases short and feature films from independent filmmakers. It is a signature festival that takes place annually in downtown Detroit during the month of August. ( est. 2005)
The Fearless Tribe of Fanatic Filmmakers, is a program/project based in Detroit that supports and elevates stories made by African American filmmakers. (Est.2019 )
The Detroit Black Film Festival goal is to elevate narratives that center the experiences and culture of Black people worldwide. Our festival is dedicated to screening excellent, high quality films from seasoned and emerging filmmakers. We strive to support filmmakers on their journey as artists and to provide an exceptional platform for their work. (Est. 2020)
