Deshauntia L Benn
Deshauntia “Ms. Dee” Benn is a community organizer, cultural strategist, and the founder of Dimensions Barber & Beauty Supply, a Black-owned holistic beauty and wellness space rooted in culture, care, and collective growth.
With a background in organizational development, racial and social justice work, and leadership education, Ms. Dee is deeply committed to creating spaces where Black people can think critically, speak honestly, and grow together. Her work bridges scholarship and lived experience, centering emotional intelligence, cultural consciousness, and value-based community building.
Ms. Dee believes Black intellectual life should not be confined to academic institutions. Through initiatives like Dimensions of Thought, she creates accessible, intentional spaces where Black women and Black men engage transformative ideas, challenge inherited narratives, and practice deeper forms of accountability and connection.
Her facilitation style is grounded, reflective, and invitational. She prioritizes brave dialogue over debate, curiosity over performance, and collective growth over individual dominance.
At the heart of Ms. Dee’s work is a clear conviction:
Black communities deserve spaces that nourish both the mind and the spirit.
