South Asian Solidarity Movement

The South Asian Solidarity Movement was established in 2021 to create a community of anti-racist and justice-oriented South Asian Americans committed to promoting inclusion, equity, and engaging in cross-racial solidarity within the city of Chicago and beyond. SASM is a 100% volunteer organization that creates educational opportunities and community-building experiences every quarter that are designed to disrupt deeply held biases, de-stigmatize culturally taboo topics, empower and uplift minoritized BIPOC, and develop agents of change committed to disrupting the systems of racism and oppression.
