Ruth Davey, Look Again
Hi, I'm Ruth Davey, Founder & Co-Director at Look Again.
I started Look Again in 2012 to bring together my love of photography with over 25 years’ experience in international and community development, inner city regeneration, the creative industries and social justice.
Following a period of burnout, I turned to photography, mindfulness and nature as part of my recovery - and what began as a personal healing practice became the foundation for Look Again’s internationally recognised, evidence-based approach to mindful photography.
By weaving together photography, mindfulness, and nature connection, we help people slow down, look again, and see the present with fresh eyes.
Through this simple but powerful practice, we support resilience, mental wellbeing and regenerative ways of thinking - inspiring individuals, communities and workplaces to reimagine life, work and the future.
We offer in-person and online workshops, courses, retreats and award winning training in mindful photography. Our programmes have since benefited thousands of people around the world, and over 200 practitioners in 30+ countries have completed our training.
The Look Again approach is not about the tech. All you need is a smartphone or camera - and an open heart and mind.
