Pluff Mudd Farm
Kelly and Dale moved to Wadmalaw Island in June of 2015. They set out on this quest initially to find a piece of property which had a work shop for Dale to use for his wood working and wood turning. During that quest they stumbled upon what is now their home, located on beautiful Wadmalaw Island, SC overlooking the marsh land of the Leadenwah River. Since then, Pluff Mudd Farm has evolved into a small fiber farm. Kelly uses the fiber from the farm in her spinning, weaving, and knitting. Our four Pygora Goats arrived in July of 2017! They have the most beautiful, soft mohair fleece--which is available here! We have added 2 mini donkeys, named Andy and Don, to "guard" them. On April 9, 2020 Thistle became a mom to twin kids, Ellie Mae and Jethro. In June of 2022, we added 3 precious Valais/cross sheep. They are the sweetest, gentlest boys! We plant flax and indigo on the farm. The indigo is hand processed into a dye, and we built the tools necessary for processing the flax into a spinnable fiber. We recently added blueberries, blackberries, and honey bees to our farm. In addition, we also have laying hens and a rooster named Ross.
