University of Exeter Chapel Choir
The University of Exeter Chapel Choir is the University’s flagship ensemble, distinguished for its excellence, precision, and professionalism. Comprising 26 choral scholars and two organ scholars, the Choir sustains a demanding schedule of services and concerts, and enjoys an international reputation as one of the foremost young ensembles in the South West of England.
Its members are drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to the highest standards of music-making. On graduation, many continue their association through EXODUS, the Choir’s alumni ensemble based in London.
In addition to its liturgical and concert responsibilities, the Choir undertakes significant outreach on behalf of the University, including performances in prisons, civic engagements, and charitable fundraising. In the current year, it has partnered with the Acorn Charity, which provides support for people living with dementia.
The Choir is directed by Michael Graham, Director of Chapel Music, and accompanied by David Davies, University Organist.
