“NW Islamic school is in itself a community where Muslim kids from all 4 quadrants of the city come together to learn Islamic values and teachings. NW Islamic school was founded in 2002 by a couple who moved from Houston TX to Calgary and recognized the need for a weekend learning institute where their own kids could learn religion along with other Muslim children. NWIS started with 7 students, 2 of them being the founders’ daughters, and 5 other children. Today in 2023 after completing 20+ successful years NWIS has more than 300 students. NWIS is proud to be an Islamic school of various successful community leaders, doctors, engineers, lawyers, and corporate officials to name a few.”
