North East Freelance Network
The North East Freelance Network (NEFN) is a regional membership community for freelancers who want to build a thriving, sustainable business — without going it alone.
Founded by Jade Gillham, an SEO & PPC freelancer based in Gateshead, NEFN was born out of frustration with the lack of dedicated support available for freelancers in the region. So she built it herself. The network exists to help freelancers in the North East connect, learn, and grow — with no spam, no gimmicks, and definitely no cheesy networking.
Members get access to a full programme of events including practical workshops, expert-led talks, bi-monthly coworking days, virtual coworking sessions, and the Freelance Focus lunchtime series — sessions designed to help you actually work on your business in a supportive environment.
Alongside the events, members join a private Slack community, get a listing in the vetted freelance directory, and become part of a peer network that genuinely gets what freelancing is like.
Membership starts at £12.99/month. Find out more at northeastfreelancenetwork.co.uk
