“Giving Minca Thankstival” 

La idea principal del evento es darle gracias a Minca por todo lo que tenemos, nos da y le sacamos; y a la Sierra, y su naturaleza por la belleza que nos brinda diariamente.

Tendremos talleres, una sesión veterinaria para perros de calle, o con dueños, y una celebración de cacao que coincide con el eclipse total lunar. 

Habrá eventos interactivos para niños y adultos, eventos durante el día y durante el atardecer con música en vivo, hasta las nueve de la noche, cuando empezará la fiesta con Circo Bambú, danza aérea con Vanessa Bedoya, música en vivo con Tambor Galáctico y Pochi y los Chilli Groovers, más otros, y luego DJs para bailar la noche hasta las dos de la mañana.

Entre las dos y seis de la mañana habrá una celebración de cacao, y baile estático con música super suave y ambiental hasta las seis de la mañana, coincidiendo con el eclipse total y culminando con la subida del sol. 

El día comienza con excursiones alrededor de Minca aprovechando la multitud de aves y vida salvaje del área. Tomaremos desayuno en la maravillosa heladería Waira. 

Más tarde varios restaurantes están ofreciendo una variedad de cocinas tanto nacionales, como internacionales. Talleres de tejidos, reciclaje, pintura, y fotografía.

Exhibición de arte indígena y local, y charlas con los artistas.

Durante el evento habrá delicias locales como el cacao orgánico de la tienda de Embassy, café de la sierra en Duni y Waira, y platos exquisitos, de todas partes del mundo. 

Tendremos cervezas artesanales, Kumbia y Surf Monkey, dos delicias locales, cuales podrás probar gratis si llegas antes de las nueve de la noche, patrocinado por Surf Monkey, y GB Cervezas Artesanales, jugos y chichas locales, con frutas donadas por tiendas locales.

Almuerzo y cena serán brindadas en la multitud de restaurantes que enriquecen nuestra cultura gastronómica.

Las charlas empezarán temprano en el hotel Mirador de Minca, y brindadas por la Universidad de Magdalena, Minca Pura, miembros de grupos indígenas, tanto como negociantes y residentes locales, hablaran sobre la naturaleza, su cuidado, y su sostenibilidad, y como reciclar mejor, plásticos y alimentos, y como tratar de mejorar nuestra comunidad, para nosotros mismos y los turistas que nos visitan.

El costo de la entrada será gratis para todos los que viven en Minca, y $50k para aquellos que no. 

Habrá acceso al área VIP con un costo de $30k, este incluye $10k de bebida y $20k de comida, para los Residentes de Minca.

Paquetes para aquellos que vienen desde afuera, desde $150k 

Ojo; La ceremonia de cacao tiene un costo por separado. 

Todos los fondos recogidos, después de los gastos del evento, serán repartidos entre dos bellos proyectos sociales para el beneficio de Minca y sus residentes. 

1, Cine del Pueblo; presentación de película para niños en la tarde, y para adultos en el atardecer, con estilo “trae tu propio picnic”, y gratis. Ayudando al pueblo compartir aún más risa y emoción comunal. 

2, Las Hojas de Minca, revista local de Minca, tanto digital, como material, con información necesaria y fácil de encontrar, para turistas, niños y adultos de la sierra. 

Este evento anual, sirve para mostrarle Minca al mundo y sus alrededores, demostrando la verdadera diversidad del área, tanto natural como extranjera.

“Giving Minca Thanks”

The main idea of ​​the event is to give thanks to Minca for everything we have, everything that it gives us, and that which we take from it; and to the Sierra, and its nature for the beauty it offers us daily.

There will be workshops, a veterinary session for street dogs, or with owners, we don’t discriminate, and a cacao celebration that coincides with the total lunar eclipse.

Interactive events for children and adults, events during the day and during the evening with live music, when the party will begin with Circo Bambú, and an arial dance performance by Vanessa Bedoya, live music with Tambor Galactico, and Pochi & The Chili Groovers, and others, plus DJs to dance the night away until two in the morning. Between two and six there will be a celebration of cacao and static dance with Wild Serenity, soft and ambient music until six in the morning, with live artists, coinciding with the full eclipse and culminating with the rise of the sun (this part of the event is limited to 25 places)

The day begins with tours around Minca taking advantage of the multitude of birds and wildlife in the area. We will have breakfast in the wonderful Waira ice cream parlor, and later several restaurants will be offering a variety of national and international cuisine.

There will be weaving, recycling, painting, jewelry and photography workshops.

Exhibition of indigenous and local art, as well as talks and workshops with the artists.

Dinner will be provided in the multitude of restaurants that enrich our gastronomical culture.

Talks will start early at the hotel Mirador de Minca, delivered by members of the University of Magdalena, Minca Pura, Indigenous groups, and local business owners and residents,

on nature, its care, sustainability, and how to better recycle plastics and food waste, and improve the community, for us and the tourists who visit us.

During the event there will be local delicacies such as Organic cacao, coffee from the Sierra Nevada at Duni, and exquisite dishes from all over the world.

We will have craft beers, Kumbia and Cacao Red, two local delicacies, which you can try for free if you arrive before nine at night, sponsored and produced by GB Craft Beers, and Surf Monkey respectively, local juices and chichas, with fruits donated by local stores and delicious local cocktails.

All funds collected, after event expenses, will be shared between two beautiful social projects for the benefit of Minca and its residents.

1, People's Cinema; movie presentation for children in the afternoon, and for adults in the evening, twice a month, with “bring your own picnic” style, and most importantly: for free. Helping the people share even more communal laughter and excitement.

2, Las Hojas de Minca, a local Minca magazine, both digital and material, with necessary and easy-to-find information for tourists, children and adults from the mountains.

Entrance fee would be free for everyone who lives in Minca, and $50k for those who do not.

There are packages for those who come from outside from $150kCOP.

Note: The Cacao ceremony is a separate cost and it’s limited to 25 places.

This annually planed event, is our hope, will exhibit Minca and its surroundings, showing even more of the true diversity of the area, both natural and foreign.

Transport leaves Sta Marta from the main people’s market, on the corner of the 9th and 11th.
